The SNP SIG and SNP Mentoring Program welcomes you to join us for a virtual learning opportunity titled Go Baby Go Program, Adaptive Mobility and Play for Users, Families, and PTs. Guest speaker Bethany Sloane, PT, DPT, PCS is a pediatric physical therapist, completing her pediatric residency program at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in 2014. She now continues to work at OHSU as a faculty member and a pediatric PT. Her research interests are in assistive technology, studying the effects of early mobility, and studying best practice techniques for children with a diagnosis of craniofacial disorders, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and hemophilia. She is also the co-director of Go Baby Go Oregon, a community-based outreach program that works with families, clinicians, and industry to provide pediatric equipment in the form of ride-on toy cars, adapted toys, and adapted books to children with disabilities for movement, participation, play, and socialization. She will be educating us on Go Baby Go and providing information on how to get involved in other areas and adaptive mobility and play (What is it? Why is it important? What does the process look like as a user, user family, and PT?). If you have any questions, please contact email@example.com.
